reasons to hate social media
- companies use it for a ton of data tracking ~ newgrounds has no tracking according to ublock origin ~ and bsky does but much better than threads or twitter at least... (in the app store) - still not getting on my phone for now tho
- turns the internet into corporation based and kind of monopolizes it - bsky is decentralized which i think means all the data isnt only on their servers? idk for sure tho but thats better than having one company holding all of the data...
- braindead time waste where u can even end up just being jealous and hating urself
- sensationalizes content and just idk overdramatisizes everthing i can't spell dang it
- idk it js sucks lol
the only still monopoly im stuck w is yt bc no platform can compete unfortunately... theres indivious as a frontend to yt but idk apparently yt was tryna take it down
it sucks how much data tracking there is on the internet but idkkk ig money and stuff waahhh... just seems unfair for so many people completely unaware how unsafe/secure everthing really is
